Understanding the Importance of God’s True Love and the Need for Repentance
While it is easy to see how the love of many can grow cold as predicted in the Holy Bible, God lets us know that if we abide in Him and his word, He will be near to us. Life at times appears to not make sense or to be coherent. Even in those times, God is there to calm us and comfort us.
“Jesus said to her,”I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?”” -John 11:25-16
The love of the God of Jacob is so great that He decided to die for us on the cross through His son Jesus Christ. He took our sin and took the cross of our mistakes. So great was the love of God for us that He did not spare his Only Son. How great is this love?
“So Jesus again said to them,’Truly, truly, I say to you, I am the door of the sheep.” -John 10:7
While many may measure who is the greatest, or the fairest, or the richest, or the wisest, none of tihis matters. It is all vanity. For it is like the plant that withers. Only God’s presence, love, and provision will save, comfort, and strengthen us.
“I love you, O Lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.” -Psalm 18:1-2
That is why repentance is so highly saught. We can follow Christ only by following the commandments and words our Heavenly Father instructed him to preach. If we love Him, we will follow His instructions.
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” – James 1:22
He chose us to love Him and follow Him. You are a child of the Most High. You are cherished and loved regardless of the world’s standards and changing parameters. You are unique. You are made in the image of our Heavenly Father.
