The Lost Coin and Repentance
“Or what woman, having ten silver coins, if she loves one coin, does not light a lamp and sweep the house and seek diligently until she finds it? And when she has found it, she calls together her friends and neighbors, saying, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found the coin that I had lost.’ Just so, I tell you, there is joy before the angels of GOD over one sinner who repents.’”
The LORD cares about His children and wants to make sure that everyone is able to make it to the kingdom of Heaven. While our sins may be many and our stains greater than we can bear, the LORD has loved us to the point of offering Himself for our salvation. We love because the LORD loved us first. He created us and loved us before we were created. His love is too great to be measured.
Similarly, He wants us to walk with Him and be saved. What good does it make to win the whole world and lose oneself? Is it not better to have salvation for all eternity and be loved and have joy? There are no attachments that can’t be freed, no chains that can’t be broken, and no brokenness that can’t be healed. The LORD is loving and caring. He loves you. He cares for you. He desires for you to share in the coming life. May the peace of Christ be with you. I love you.
