“So, whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do all to the glory of GOD.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31

1 Corinthians 10: 31 Audio

There is something beautiful about the way the verse in 1 Corinthians speaks about any action or anything that we do here on Earth. Paul is so enamoured with the LORD and his writings describe this constant admiration, praise, and love for the LORD. He speaks about our actions whether they be large or small. Simple or complex. Each action should be done to the glory of the LORD. Even the smallest actions are able to have a significance if they are done for the glory of the LORD.

When you cook or learn something new, it can all be done for the glory of the LORD. Everything can be used to show the glory of the LORD and the love that He has for us. The LORD created us and gave us so much and each action that we take can show Him just how much He has blessed us. We are to give glory in all that we do and even when it seems that giving thanks is not enough, the LORD says that He regards thanksgiving more than a sacrifice of bulls or oxen. He loves us and cares about us and our actions. We are able to glorify Him when we are able to learn about Him from His scriptures.

When you decide to read a Bible verse and learn the meaning and connection to the creation and the love He has for us, you are glorifying the LORD. When you praise Him and sing to Him, you glorify the LORD. When you instruct others in the ways of the LORD, you glorify the LORD. This is what we were made for and ultimately to give Him the glory. Paul says that “whatever you do, do all to the glory”. He doesn’t say do half or do a bit, but instead chooses to say that everything that can be done should be done to the glory of the LORD.
