“Blessed are those who dwell in your house, ever singing your praise! Selah.” – Psalm 84: 4
There is something important about singing that allows us to focus on one thing only. There is this sense of gratitude that emanates from the ability to express our deepest emotions in the form of song. We are able to sing and praise and display our emotions without guilt or shame.
There is something that is very different about singing than stating something. When we praise through singing, we are able to let go of many negative emotions that exist in our inner worlds and forget them for the moment at hand. We are able to focus on peace and joy. When we praise, we forget about everything that brings us down, and we are lifted up.
For this reason, whether you know or don’t know how to sing, it is important to praise. To sing in happiness or in sadness because the very act of singing is able to comfort us in a way that is difficult to describe.
