“He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the LORD require of you but to do justice, and to love kindness. And to walk humbly with your GOD.” – Micah

Bible Verse Audio:

The prophet Micah was a prophet that described the plans that would occur according to the will of the Father. Micah gives a description of what the LORD wants from those who want to walk closely to Him. Although there are multiple actions that have implied a connection to the LORD in the past, there are several that are repeated through the Old Testament and New Testament. There is a question asked stating how would an individual be able to approach the LORD or what would please the Father.

There are several examples of what seemed to be possible ways to help lead to a closer relationship including the offering of burnt offerings traditionally given in the tent and temple. Another example was oil and animals to be given in worship. The response is that to all of these things, the LORD prefers for an individual to do what is right and do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly with GOD. Out of all the many answers in this answer, the most important one was an inner introspection of what an individual does rather than the outward manifestations of praise.

While justice, kindness, and humbleness are abstract concepts that can be difficult to portray, they require of deep understanding within each individual. These actions require of us to understand what constitutes true justice, true kindness, and true humbleness. David also asked what would please the LORD and received a similar answer in that an individual to offer thanksgiving and follow the commandments. We are instructed through multiple sources and prophets and believers that we can experience a relationship with GOD the Father by being thankful for everything He gives and learning to love kindness.
