“The word of the LORD came to me: ‘Son of man, you dwell in the midst of a rebellious house, who have eyes to see, but see not, who have ears to hear, but hear not, for they are a rebellious house.”

We are able to read in Ezekiel that GOD had intended for the house of Israel to follow the commandments and have belief for the word of GOD. We learn that this was not the case in Ezekiel’s time. We learn that Ezekiel is sent to preach the word of GOD and tell the people to repent. We learn that there are several words that relate to the same words that Jesus Christ would say to the people.

We learn that Jesus told the people that did not care about the Scriptures that they had eyes and ears but that they could not perceive the message that GOD was sending them. We are able to see that GOD also stated the same message through Isaiah which was also what Jesus stated. We also read that Ezekiel was called Son of man which is a name given to those that believe in GOD and place their trust in GOD.

While Ezekiel tries to get people to believe and change their sin into repentance, we are able to understand that there are similarities between the opportunities to repent. Jesus Christ would also preach about the necessity to repent of sins in order to start new and be able to live a pure life that honor GOD and glorifies the Creator. We learn that Jesus and Ezekiel both preach similar messages of change and understanding because GOD has instructed them to reach out to the house of Israel and Judah in order to obtain the salvation that GOD gives. Jesus Christ also died for our sins and resurrected on the third day by the power of GOD in order to show us the saving power of GOD.
