GOD’s Creation and Psalm 104
“O LORD, how manifold are your works! In wisdom have you made them all; the earth is full of your creatures. Here is the sea, great and wide which seems with creatures innumerable, living things both small and great.” – Psalm 104: 24-25
We can learn from Psalm 104 the reminders of the creation that GOD has created. We initially read about the creation in Genesis, and understand that GOD is able to create the world, the heavens, and the creatures, the sea and everything that has been created. We learn in the Psalms, that David reminds us of the wonderful and powerful GOD that we believe in being able to create humanity and nature.
We know that Psalm 104 not only tells of the creation of the sea, but it also reminds us of the manner that the mountains were created and how GOD can decide all the details of creation. This is able to remind us that GOD is able to create and also allow us the ability to appreciate the creation. We know that it is GOD that gives renovation and renewal and who can breath new life.
With these details, we can continue our praise and worship of GOD not only for the creation but for sending His Son to die on the cross and save humanity from sin. We learn that the Psalms have different topics that allow us to pay attention to the steadfast love GOD has for His believers and for the Grace that He gives to those who truly want to believe in GOD’s word, have faith in Jesus Christ, follow the Ten Commandments, and understand grace. We can continue to praise and worship the GOD of Creation in the Psalms.
