“He is the LORD our GOD; his judgments are in all the earth. He remembers his covenant forever, the word that he commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant that He made with Abraham, his sworn promise to Isaac, which he confirmed to Jacob as a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant, saying, ‘To you I will give the land of Canaan as your portion for an inheritance.'”- Psalm 105: 7-11

Psalm 105: 7-11 Scripture Verse Audio Description

Through the Psalms of David we are able to understand not only the amazing wonders that GOD has created through the creation. We are also able to see the wonders that He works through His deliverance and protection of Israel and the believers in the world. We learn in Psalm 105 the promises that GOD gave to Abraham that are maintained throughout history. We learn that GOD is true to His promises. GOD promised to Abraham that his descendants would be numerous greater than the sand of the sea and we can see His promises by seeing His protection and steadfast love for Israel.

We learn in different places in Scripture about GOD protecting the people of Abraham throughout history. Even through sin and idolatry, GOD has protected remnants of Jewish believers that were able to continue seen in the Babylonian exile and Roman destruction of the temple and land. We learn that although history has intricate details that teach us about the culture, understanding, and beliefs, we know that GOD is in control of history.

We learn that even through the difficulties, Abraham’s descendants have been able to experience blessings of GOD especially when we believe and have faith on GOD. We learn that the blessings of Abraham have been passed on to His children’s children from the deliverance of Egypt and the acquisition of the Promised Land. We know that prophets and even Jesus Christ were sent to preach repentance and salvation to Israel first and then to the nations. We learn that GOD wants to show His grace and steadfast love and has shown it through multiple forms. The existence of Israel, the obtaining of Canaan, and the Psalms of David tell of all the wonders that GOD has done for the people of Israel and continues to do. There is so much hope and faith that Israel and the world can understand the love of Jesus Christ and understand the importance of the repentance of sin.
