GOD’s Omnipotence, Omniscience, and Omnipresence Among Qualities the Human Mind Cannot Understand
“Why do you say, O Jacob, and speak, O Israel, ‘My way is hidden from the LORD, and my right is disregarded by my GOD’? Have you not known? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting GOD, the Creator of the ends of the Earth. He does not faint or grow weary; his understanding is unsearchable. He gives power to the faint, and to him who has no might he increases strength. Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” – Isaiah 40: 27-31
Through the prophets and people of GOD we are able to understand how GOD rules from His heavenly throne. We know that GOD does test individuals to see if they are righteous or if they are only appearing to be righteous. We learn that believers are able to understand how GOD works through believers not only to change us from our past life of sin to a life of righteousness but also allows us to understand the GOD we serve, the GOD of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.
Isaiah was a prophet that was allowed to understand the purpose GOD sent him to preach to Israel, but also understood the GOD he was serving. We learn that our GOD is a GOD of mercy and grace that allows us the ability to see how He gives opportunities for non-believers to turn from sin into a life of redemption, salvation, and eternal life. We learn that Isaiah gives a beautiful description of the GOD we serve. We learn through questions similar to the questions answered to Jeremiah and Job that GOD is seeing everything that happens on earth, is present everywhere, and is Almighty among other qualities that our human mind cannot understand.
We learn by Isaiah that GOD is a GOD of Creation that can create and has created the earth, the heavens, and the universe. We learn that He can also issue judgment to wickedness seen through the days of Noah and the days of Lot and the days of Jeremiah and the days of Peter and Paul. We know that to those that are believers, we are at peace with knowing that our GOD is on control of history and has already written history. We know that we are awaiting for GOD to judge wickedness and create a new earth and new heaven.
We also know that His understanding is unsearchable meaning no person or created being can understand GOD or GOD’s thinking. GOD tells us in different verses that there is no person or creation that can understand the higher ways of thinking that are of GOD. For this reason Jesus Christ’s death and Resurrection does not make sense even to those to whom He was sent. For this reason, there are individuals who cannot understand how our GOD does not contradict His word and cannot be wicked. Yet for those that have the Spirit of Truth, we understand that it is done for the good of His Kingdom and the good of believers.
GOD is able to give strength and allow for believers to work with might for His Kingdom. We are reinforced in faith and given the ability to preach and continue placing our faith in the GOD. For this reason, believers can continue to keep faith in a GOD that is able to give justice, strength, and understanding to those who believe.
